Honoring all who served on Veterans Day

On the “11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month” in 1918, the treaty to end World War I was signed, and this day became known as Armistice Day. The United States renamed this day Veterans Day to “honor all who served” in all conflicts, both living and dead.

What you can do:
  • Attend a Veterans Day parade
  • Visit a VA hospital
  • Talk to a veteran about their service
  • Hire a veteran
  • Donate to a veterans organization
  • Display the American flag
